Yes, the weather is not a good excuse to spam people's ElGay Friends' page, but I am feeling spammy. Also, contrary to popular rumors, whenever I get some free time I don't solicit nor harass 14-year olds, I make Serioz. iconses (*pimps my shiny! Luu Bu icon*) and plagiarize J-Rock songs. (minus-one version of Alkaline Puke coming soon!)

You know a thing is important when it guards both ends of sleep. I feel numb, watching tomorrow's regret in the making. Of course I know I should do something about it (instead of looking for distractions by spamming people on elgays and in pedophile chatrooms), but I am too jaded to care. The world is full of sorrow, what is yours but a puny addition to the colossal heap? Alas, that my heart is in the pawnshop, with no hope of redemption (and I think he likes it there with the owner anyway). My (yellow) liver is diseased beyond help. So which part of me should bleed for you? Yes. I know. My uterus! It is due for that soon enough. Go find your OWN datasets, for Odin's sake!

On a very interesting side-note, I wonder, according to MT's Awful German Language, what pronoun I should use for my liver.

And Germany, that reminds me....

(Ha ha ha Babblephish didn't die translating this garbage!)
And on to the next topic.

"You base weaver of mats! You mean maker of straw sandals!"
Because I am overdue for another ROTK squeee!

My imaginary morals and Cao Cao.
I am more than one ninth of my way through Romance of the Three Kingdoms (yah, Pullman and MT distract). One interesting thing is the way Cao Cao's lines captivate me (and many others) more than Liu Bei's. One wonders why, when it is well-known that Luo Guanzhong intended to depict the former as the cynical villain and the latter, the scrupulous hero [0]. Is it due to the naive simpleton in me (and many others) who automatically worships anything even slightly Machiavellian?

At the first glance, the typical Liu Bei line exudes comradeship, us-soldier-brothers-against-them kind of feeling: "Brothers are like limbs; wives and children are like clothings. You can change clothes easily but once a limb is severed, is it possible to reattach it?" (comforting Zhang Fei who was about to commit suicide in remorse after letting Liu Bei's family fall into the hands of the enemy.)

On the other hand, the street wisdom of the cynical and the world-weary drips from the typical Cao Cao line: "Rather we let the whole world down than the world let us down!" These words of his, together with his overly cautious act of mistakenly slaughtering one well-meaning family, estranged him from a would-be comrade, Chen Gong, who later took the side of Luu Bu [my new iconses!], and much later again, found on the losing side, was executed by Cao Cao [though not enthuasistically].

It is easy for the simple to choose. The complex ones can go on wondering if Liu Bei's mat-weaver and sandal-maker act was a put-on; or if Cao Cao really knew as much as he seemed to. For me, the answer has always been clear: Cao Cao is the hero!

[0] Probably the most fascinating thing about ROTK: the moral ambiguity (which I thrive on, yes. nothing pisses off a mauvecloud than some sanctimonious drivel about Final Destinations or some such Serious Stuffs). You can find instances of Liu Bei committing 'morally dubious' acts (the killing of some sub-prefect of a forgotten province, or the way he [albeit deservingly] betrayed Luu Bu in the end), or Cao Cao nearly doing the 'right thing' (for instance, the aforementioned reluctance to execute his erstwhile comrade). Quotation marks because I don't think so. There is no right or wrong or moral, only the optimal! (^-^)

Annoying juniors in the department aside, it is getting really chilly these days. My heating bill! *cries*
